Belonging
I’ve always struggled with this idea of “belonging”. Brene Brown’s Braving the Wilderness has drastically changed my life. My biggest takeaway is that I “belong” wherever I am, even if it’s alone. Aloneness doesn’t have to be a burden, it’s also a gift. It’s me respecting and enjoying myself enough to be ok with others not understanding my stance (on whatever it is).

I decided not to allow other people’s thoughts and opinions to limit what I desire to experience. As difficult as it has been, I’m still going to do it.
Fear has led to many of my actions in the past. I no longer want to live in a small world. I will pray, I will plan and I will enjoy!
I hope this post helps someone. Doing new things isn’t always easy. My mentor recently said “The hard thing and the right thing can sometimes be the same thing”. It stuck. Use it if you need it, let it go if you don’t.
