As my birthday quickly approaches I realize more so now than ever that I do NOT want a life full of regrets. When following your dreams it’s easy to get caught up in what will be that you forget to enjoy what is. This has caused me to analyze my experiences, accomplishments, happiness, growth, relationships (family & friends), career, future, and everything else a soon to be 24-year old can analyze, lol.
I’ve come to the conclusion that I’ve grown a lot. I’m not quite where I would like to be but I’m content where I am knowing that I’m still in progress. He ((points up)) is still working on me, but I have to meet him half way. I can’t say I want to be a personal trainer and never work out. I can’t say I want to own a home but I’m not actively saving money for it. I can’t say I want to do more things but every time someone invites me out I say no. I can’t say I’m sick of drama but I still indulge in gossip. In a world where we all want to be happy and successful we have to be willing to bend, stretch, and meet God half way.
I have my entire life ahead of me, but I do NOT want to regret any of it. I’ve vowed to do whatever my heart desires (within reason) so I can live regret-free. There’s a list of things I want to do. I’m actively planning and making preparations to see that these things come true. And this too, you can do.
Take a minute to analyze your life. Are you happy? What do you like about yourself/your life? What could be better? What have you changed? What else will you change? What are you doing now to ensure you don’t have regrets later?
All in all, life is too short to wonder “what if”. Yes, its scary and can be difficult but pray and take a leap of faith. There’s only two things that can happen: it’ll be great or not so great. If its great, then mission accomplished! If its not so great, at least you can walk away saying I put my best foot forward and you no longer have to wonder.
I challenge you to stop wondering and start doing. Start today, not tomorrow! Make time to be happy! You only have one life to live.
Make the best of it! :-*
Peace, love, Ash <3

This really spoke volumes to me! I have been praying for change and better opportunities and God has granted me access into the MPH program I originally applied for. Up until now, I’ve been worrying about if transferring would be a good idea, especially since I am halfway done with my current program. But I know I would definitely regret not going. Thanks for putting it into perspective!
