There are so many lessons that you learn only from going through the stages of life.
When I was a young girl, I DESPISED the idea of having a big sister. I mean, I already had a parents and grandmas; who needs another person trying to tell them what to do, when to do it, how to do it, and why it needed to be done (insert the longest eye roll you can muster up). I just didn’t see the purpose.
Then one magical day, my mom pissed me off. Nope, not made me mad but really pissed me off (ha ha) so out of desperation, I called the person who would turn out to be the world’s best sister ever in this lifetime.
Making that phone call was the best decision I made “as a child”. It was the start to a beautiful friendship. It was the start to a beautiful mentorship. It was the start of something new. To this day, my sister is still my go to person. I can’t remember what my mom did or why I was so angry but I’m so grateful for that experience. I said all that to say, what you hate now, you may learn to love later.
Keep an open mind and heart as you continue to filter through all the things life throws at you.
Peace, Love, Blessings
